Introduisant sa plateforme sur le marché à l’occasion de la SITL 2023, la jeune start-up française n’entend rien de moins que de révolutionner la saisie et le traitement des documents de douane. L’entreprise créée en 2018 ambitionne ainsi de simplifier et d’automatiser la communication des informations douanières. Arnaud Doly, CEO de Nabu, a accepté de nous en dire plus.

Face à l’aspect fastidieux de la saisie des données douanières, Nabu déploie une solution à la fois originale et pertinente en devenant l’intermédiaire entre les différentes parties prenantes du processus, afin de répondre à une problématique inhérente au monde du transport : “Tout le monde travaille avec les même données, mais pas de la même façon, avec des outils qui ne sont pas interopérables entre eux”, explique Arnaud Doly.

Grâce à son algorithme, Nabu lit et traduit la donnée, pour ensuite la traiter et automatiser sa dispatche dans les systèmes pertinents : tel un scribe des temps modernes, Nabu vient ainsi organiser le capharnaüm que peut trop souvent représenter le traitement des documents douaniers et évite ainsi l’intervention humaine, fastidieuse et chronophage, en décryptant l’ensemble des informations présentes.

“Nabu ne remplace aucun outil et laisse la liberté à ses usagers de continuer à travailler sans changer leur processus”, poursuit Arnaud Doly, en précisant que le but n’est pas l’hégémonie des systèmes, mais surtout “de créer un lien entre les documents, les métiers et les systèmes, avec l’objectif de collaborer autour de la data, en la rendant à la fois modulable et surtout mobile”. Un tel outil se révèle ainsi fort appréciable, notamment en termes d’apport sur valeur ajoutée de la Supply Chain, réduisant les actions manuelles, la saisie répétée de données et d’autres tâches à faible valeur ajoutée.

Cette solution dévolue pour le moment aux seuls documents de dédouanement n’en est pourtant qu’à ses balbutiements : les avantages et perspectives offerts par une telle technologie sont quasi illimités, et pourront être adaptés pour toute une foule d’applications supplémentaires, comme les WMS ou les TMS, pour ne citer qu’eux.

Une première à la SITL

“C’est la première fois que nous venons au salon en tant qu’exposant”, ajoute fièrement M. Doly. La jeune entreprise entend profiter du salon pour se faire connaître auprès des professionnels du secteur.

Un objectif rondement mené pour la prometteuse start-up et ce, dès la conférence inaugurale de la SITL, où Clément Beaune, ministre délégué chargé des Transports, et Roland Lescure, ministre délégué chargé de l’Industrie, ont annoncé les 8 lauréats de l’appel à projets national “Logistique 4.0”, dont Nabu fait partie.

Nabu launches its innovative solution to facilitate customs operations

Introducing its platform to the market at SITL 2023, the young French start-up intends to revolutionize the capture and processing of customs documents. The company, created in 2018, thus aims to simplify and automate the communication of customs information. Arnaud Doly, Nabu’s CEO, tells us more.

Faced with the tedious aspect of entering customs data, Nabu deploys a solution that is both original and relevant, by becoming the intermediary between the various parties involved in the process, in order to respond to an inherent problem in the world of transport: “Everyone works with the same data, but not in the same way, with tools that are not interoperable with each other,” explains Arnaud Doly.

Thanks to its algorithm, Nabu reads and translates the data, then processes it and automates its dispatch to the relevant systems: like a modern-day scribe, Nabu organizes the ‘mess’ that can all too often be found in the processing of customs documents, and thus avoids tedious and time-consuming human intervention by deciphering all the information present.

“Nabu does not replace any tool and leaves its users free to continue working without changing their process,” continues Arnaud Doly, specifying that the goal is not the hegemony of systems, but above all “to create a link between documents, businesses and systems, with the objective of collaborating around the data, making it both modular and above all mobile. Such a tool proves to be very effient, especially in terms of adding value to the supply chain, reducing manual actions, repeated data entry and other low value-added tasks.

And the solution, which is currently only dedicated to customs clearance documents, is set to be further developped: the advantages and prospects offered by such technology are almost unlimited, and can be adapted for a whole host of additional applications, such as WMS or TMS, to name but a few.
