DS Automotion intègre le groupe SSI Schäfer et renforcera la gamme robotique
DS Automotion devient membre à part entière du groupe SSI Schäfer. L’opération renforce la gamme robotique, le partenariat de longue date AGV/AMR s’intensifiant à mesure que les opérations robotiques seront réalignées
Cette intégration est une étape importante sur la voie du leadership technologique du groupe SSI Schäfer.
Le groupe SSI Schäfer, l’un des principaux fournisseurs internationaux de solutions modulaires de stockage et de manutention avec plus de 10 000 personnes, et DS Automotion GmbH, l’un des principaux fournisseurs de robotique mobile (AGV – véhicules autoguidés et AMR – Robot Mobile Autonome) ont signé un accord par lequel SSI Schäfer a acquis le 1er mars 2023 toutes les actions de DS Automotion GmbH.
SSI SCHÄFER élargit ainsi la participation minoritaire qu’elle détient depuis 2018, reflétant l’importance croissante de la robotique autonome et mobile et de l’activité AGV dans l’intralogistique.
L’équipe de direction dirigée par les directeurs généraux Manfred Hummenberger et Wolfgang Hillinger reste en place. DS Automotion continue ainsi à fonctionner de manière indépendante avec sa marque bien établie. “Le partenariat avec DS Automotion s’est clairement intensifié au cours des deux dernières années et l’activité AGV dans l’intralogistique connaît une croissance très dynamique. Nous sommes très heureux que la société, qui est un acteur de premier plan sur le marché international, devienne un membre à part entière du groupe SSI Schäfer”, décrit Steffen Bersch, CEO du groupe.
La poursuite du développement des robots mobiles autonomes (AMR) est l’une des initiatives conjointes clés dans le contexte du réalignement général de l’activité robotique. Ce segment de produits devient de plus en plus important et offre d’excellentes opportunités de croissance. Avec 40 ans de savoir-faire en matière de navigation et de contrôle, DS Automotion a développé des standards tels que Plannable Autonomy et Cooperative Navigation, qui permettent de combiner les avantages de la flexibilité avec la fiabilité et la disponibilité des systèmes industriels.

DS Automotion joins the SSI Schäfer Group and is set to strengthen robotics range
DS Automotion has become a full member of the SSI Schäfer Group. The deal strengthens the robotics portfolio, with the long-standing AGV/AMR partnership intensifying as robotics operations are realigned. This integration is an important step towards the technological leadership of the SSI Schäfer Group.
The SSI Schäfer Group, one of the leading international suppliers of modular storage and materials handling solutions with more than 10,000 employees, and DS Automotion GmbH, one of the leading suppliers of mobile robotics (AGVs – Automated Guided Vehicles and AMRs – Autonomous Mobile Robots), have signed an agreement whereby SSI Schäfer has acquired all the shares of DS Automotion GmbH as of 1 March 2023.
SSI SCHÄFER thus expands the minority stake it has held since 2018, reflecting the growing importance of autonomous and mobile robotics and the AGV business in intralogistics.
The management team, led by Managing Directors Manfred Hummenberger and Wolfgang Hillinger, remains in place. DS
